Who is this for?
This course is aimed at those needing an appreciation of pressure relief in their work. The course will introduce the fundamental principles of pressure relief and will allow delegates to review pressure relief systems and documentation with an understanding of how the design engineer generated the design.
The course will be beneficial to any engineering discipline that has to work with pressure relief equipment, for example, mechanical engineers, inspectors or operators involved in inspection and installation of relief equipment.
What prior study is recommended?
A basic understanding of the course subject area is beneficial but not essential.
At the end of the course you should be able to:
Attendees will gain an awareness of the fundamental design and purpose of relief systems and an understanding of how relief devices are installed and maintained and the common pitfalls with relief devices. Device sizing will be highlighted, but not covered in detail.
